Now in its 9th year, the Student Film Festival showcases the talent of Southern Oregon University film and digital media students. An esteemed panel of judges watch films submitted to nine different categories before choosing the top of each, while attendees vote for an overall “People’s Choice” winner. Lucky film fest winners receive membership to Southern Oregon Film and Television (SOFaT), as well as special 3D printed awards designed by Lucas Soto.
New this year is the expansion of the fest to cover two days, allowing more submissions to be viewed. Leading the charge of growing accessibility on campus, this year’s film fest will be also be subtitled – a benefit to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, as well as those for whom English is a second language.
While the after party has traditionally been available only to those over 21 years of age, this year’s after party will be held on campus, and open to all. Join us for food and dancing as we jam out with the Robbie Dacosta Band!
Day 2 of the fest will take place in the Meese Auditorium (AB 101) at 7pm! Hang around after the fest for an After Party featuring the Robbie Dacosta band and lots of amazing food!
