At a time newspapers are under siege, many newspaper
professionals soldier on. Why? At what point in their careers did the power and
purpose of journalism captivate them? What happened, and what did they learn?
Authors Paul Steinle and Sara Brown, Ph.D., decided to find out. So they
interviewed newspaper editors and publishers, face-to-face, across America.
Tuesday, April 8, 4
p.m., in the Meese Room, Hannon Library, Southern Oregon University, the
authors will summarize their findings in a presentation open to the public.
